Butternut Squash Ricotta Crostini

In keeping with my fall theme...here's a great appetizer for your next cocktail party...I think I am going to get the pre-cut butternut squash from Trader Joes...thanks Bon Appetit for this yum recipe!

Autumnal Fruits

There is something so elegant about the simplicity of fruit on display. I am not a big fan of the huge centerpieces- you know, the ones that you have to move aside to talk to the person across the dinner table. These autumnal fruits are the perfect way to bring all the goodness going on outside during this season right into your home...and even better (if you have some pear or apple trees in your neighborhood), it's free! Win, win.

Pumpkin Love

Although Halloween has come and gone, there's no reason that we can't all still be eating pumpkin. I absolutely love anything and everything pumpkin. Now that fall is in full swing, it's time to turn up the volume on the pumpkin recipes.

The first recipe I want to share with you is from The Brown Eyed Baker...Pumpkin Whoopie Pies. Now I have to admit that I have never actually baked a whoopie pie,but I sure have tasted whoopie pies...and right after some Sweet Jennies cookies...they are pretty much amazing.

Thanks to Lovely Scribbles for sharing this adorable presentation idea for the pumpkin whoopie pies:

on christmas list...more cake stands...love the touch of ribbon...perfect!!
Here are some great ideas for what to do with all your left over pumpkin seeds from Halloween. Check out the 12 Things to do with Pumpkin Seeds post. The possibilities are endless!!

What is your favorite pumpkin recipe?

Farmhouse Wares

Although this post has nothing to do with cookies...had to share my idea obsession for the day. I found these cupcakes stands at Farmhouse Wares. I love the simplicity of the white stands...especially using them as place cards.

This site always has great finds for the home...6 cupcake stands for only $40.

Happy Shopping!

Finally Fall...

Although we are in the thick of our Indian Summer in San Francisco, there's no denying that fall is just around the corner. I love absolutely everything about fall and am excited that the holidays are just around the corner. As for Sweet Jennies- we can't wait to be baking more and more ginger cookies...yum.
