Seattle or Bust

I am heading up to Seattle today for a quick trip to raise a glass to the newly engaged couple, Ira & Courtney! I am so excited to be up in Seattle for the beginning of fall and to be part of the beginning of celebrations for their wedding. Tomorrow is going to be a fun filled day with sweet little Josie and Julia. Thank you girls for letting me stay with you. I think there's no better house warming gift than...you guessed it...cookies!

Beach Dinner Party

Although no cookies in this post...I just had to share this amazing idea...the perfect dinner party that Jordan Ferney hosted below the Golden Gate Bridge...what a way to celebrate our Indian Summer!

This setting is the absolute perfect backdrop to raise a glass to our gorgeous city. I am going to put my name down to reserve a spot a Kirby Cove next summer!

Thank You Oh Happy Day Blog for the great idea!

Milk and Cookies

With all the weddings that I have been going to recently, I have realized that I am just not a wedding cake kind of girl.

It's always fun to spice your party up with something new....here are some fun ideas for how to bring Sweet Jennies to your wedding (or everyday) celebration....your guests will thank you!!

Ina Inspiration

I dream of one day being best friends with Ina Garten. We could live in the Hamptons together, spend our afternoons drinking sidecar cocktails together...pretty much spend the entire day thinking of our next fabulous meal that we would make together.

Ina (aka: the barefoot contessa) is an inspiration to me as she wasn't always the culinary diva that she is today. Before her days of pot roasts and clam bakes, Ina used to work in White house as a nuclear policy analyst. After spotting an ad for 400 square foot specialty food store in Westhampton, Ina took a leap and purchased the store...and kept the store's original name "Barefoot Contessa". Fast forward thirty years and Ina is an absolute rock star...her own Food Network show, articles in House Beautiful and author of seven cookbooks.

Since I love baking and am not so good when it comes to cooking...Ina always comes to the rescue with her simple, easy and oh so yummy meals! Some of my favorite recipes are her Engagement Roast Chicken and Turkey Lasagna.

Maybe one day Sweet Jennies will be as big as Barefoot Contessa...or even better- maybe Ina and I could become business partners?!

Birthday Cookies

This past weekend was full of birthdays...first Katie and then Derek...and there's no better way to celebrate a birthday than with...cookies!!

Here are some pictures from Derek's day...we hiked out to Bass Lake in Marin...it was the perfect birthday celebration.

Do you have any birthday celebrations coming up? Send me a note and let's get some cookies at the party!

Katie's Birthday

Last night we celebrated one of my oldest friend's birthday...Happy 30th Katie! We had a cooking class with the amazing chef, Jan Scharetg...cosmos, pasta and prawns, flourless cake, candles and champers...the evening was a total blast! Katie is such an amazing friend and everyone had a reason to toast the birthday girl.

Sweet Jennies were served as party favors...all with personalized tags for the birthday girl.

Tuesday Night Sail

Anyone in dreary, foggy San Francisco Tuesday night would not have believed that it was absolutely gorgeous in Sausalito...just 5 miles away. We had the perfect evening on the bay...good friends, good wine...and of course good cookies...

Thank You Cookies & Handwritten Notes

I know I am a bit biased... but who doesn't love fresh cookies as a thank you gift? Your friends will be delighted by your thoughtfulness...and the sweet treat...especially if you are needing to thank them for something they did for you.

Dear Air
Thank You Keenan & Thank You Note A Day

I try to always combine a handwritten thank you note with my cookies. With email and text messaging these days, we have lost the art of the handwritten note. Your friends will be touched when you take the time to sit down, write a note, and use our old pal- snail mail. Don't forget your writing etiquette too!

These are some of my favorite notes...of course all are fabulous with the cookies:

Sweet Jennies Does Marin

We just came home from a fun Sunday night bbq in Marin with friends... Sweet Jennies was a hit for dessert. Jack and Charlie are huge fans of the milk chocolate chips cookies. Hope you all have a wonderful week! There's no better way to kick the Sunday Night Blues than with a fresh baked cookie...

I am in the market for a new stand for my cookies. Here are some of my favorites...what do you think?

It's a gorgeous Friday in San Francisco...finally! I just got back from lunch with my adorable friend Patrick. We decided that all SF cookie deliveries will be done via the wonder scooter Buddy!! Down the line we will even do a cruiser bike (on the wish list). All I need is a little basket in front- will roam around the city and find some hungry peeps.

Here's a picture of my little blue wonder scooter- Buddy...definitely need to swap out those sunflowers for some hot cookies!

I am a huge fan of cruisers!! This Schwinn Cruiser Bike is definitely very high on my wish list...there's even a little cup holder for my latte when I am off making my morning deliveries!

Welcome!

I am excited to get Sweet Jennies finally up and running! I am so happy that you have stopped by my site. Stay tuned for more fun info.

diet starts tomorrow...
